"The first step is always the hardest."
It is. & I don't think it's from a lack of desire, but moreover an ignorance as to where to start. What expands our heart centers to the whisper of the Universe varies from person to person, but the message is always the same:
"This isn't right."
"This isn't who you are."
"Why are you doing this?"
"You deserve more."
"You are worth so much more than this."
And rest assured my fellow Spiritual beings, that is your soul talking to you. Your soul's voice has been smothered by your heavier alternate persona: EGO. And EGO will try hard, desperately, to keep you tied to the worldly ideals. With the heavier vibrations encompassing your existence, one wonders: how the hell do I get out of this mess?
Guess what? You've taken your first step. You've acknowledged your place, your feelings. Honor this step as a miraculous one.
NOW, the next step: get to know yourself.
Get out a piece of paper.
Take three deep breaths, give yourself plenty of time to enjoy this wonderful feeling.
Now, write "PASSIONS" at the top of your paper...
What are you passionate about? What were you passionate about as a child?
If you are anything like I was years ago, I was stumped. Yeah, sure, I had an idea of what I thought I should like. After all, my mother beat into my brain that I need to make money. I need to work hard to get a practical job and climb that corporate ladder. And climb I did. Guess where it led me...? Into darkness.
I was led to a place where I felt like I was still grasping--something was still missing.
I knew I was not living in alignment with my core values, my soul.
